Abstract

We propose a pattern recognition system based on an architecture close to the one found in human visual cortex which is called Hypercolumns. We use this discrete parametric representation in connection with a sparsley coding associative memory. In principle the application of such a representation appears to be very well suited for data reduction and pattern recognition processes and is part of a neural instruction set [1].
