Abstract

A fifteen-year period of experience in the monitoring of drug consumption and drug utilization in a clinical hospital is described. The drug classifications and the methods used in drug monitoring are explained. The drug utilization program was created in order to improve drug prescription and the possibilities of predicting drug consumption in the hospital.
