Zusammenfassung
Die Personalisierte Medizin (PM) beschreibt eine Entwicklung im Pharmaziebereich, bei der Wirkstoffe und Medikamente nicht auf alle Patientengruppen gleichermaßen wirken, sondern auf einzelne Gruppen (Strati) unterschiedliche Wirkungen haben. Diese Medikamente werden in Kombination mit Diagnostiktests verabreicht, die sicherstellen sollen, ob das jeweilige Medikament oder eine Therapie bei dem Patienten die gewünschte Wirkung erzielen kann. Diese Entwicklung wird einerseits als Möglichkeit gesehen, den steigenden Kosten im Gesundheitsbereich entgegenzuwirken und andererseits Wirkstoffe, die nur bei einem Teil der Patienten wirken, für diese Gruppen zugänglich zu machen und ihnen eine bessere Behandlung zu ermöglichen.
