Abstract
Alter decades of research in such disperse areas as artificial intelligence, expert systems, linguistics, artificial reasoning, neural networks, communication hypotheses such as speech-act concepts, organizational approaches such as the learning organization — to name just a few areas — another holistic approach is gaining momentum as mainstream: Knowledge Management (KM). KM is to be considered as a challenge for organizations worldwide as well as a tremendous business chance for consultants, and the whole IT sector.
