Kurzfassung

Das “Document Interchange Protocol for the Telematic Services” bietet Mittel zur Strukturierung, Übertragung und originalgetreue Wiedergabe gemischter Text/Bild-Dokumente. Dieses Protokoll stellt gemeinsam mit der CCITT-Empfehlung “Terminal Capablities for Mixed Mode of Operation” eine wichtige Basis zur Entwicklung kompatibler multifunktionaler Terminals dar. Seine Architektur, Strukturierungs- und Protokoll-Elemente sowie Austauschformate werden erläutert.
