Abstract
Through a comparative analysis of three encapsulation technology related to the EOS, namely LAPS, PPP, GFP, this paper discusses the advantages of the encapsulated Ethernet data by GFP protocol and the implementation of the Ethernet frame GFP mapping into SDH protocols based on Xilinx’s Virtex-6 FPGA.
