Zusammenfassung
Ausgehend von der probabilistischen Clusteranalyse mit dem Fuzzy c-Means (FCM) Modell lassen sich Methoden der nichtprobabilistischen Clusteranalyse herleiten. Eine bekanntes nichtprobabilistisches Modell ist Possibilistisches c-Means (PCM). Eine neue, verallgemeinerte Methode der Clusteranalyse ist die alternierende Clusterschätzung (alternating cluster estimation, ACE), die als spezielle Instanzen sowohl probabilistische als auch nichtprobabilistische Methoden enthält. Anhand einiger Beispiele werden die unterschiedlichen Methoden verglichen: (A) probabilistische Clusteranalyse mit FCM und nichtprobabilistische Clusteranalyse mit (B) PCM und mit (C) tanzenden Kegeln (dancing cones, DC), einer speziellen Instanz von ACE. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, daß probabilistische und nichtprobabilistische Clustermethoden spezifische Vor- und Nachteile besitzen. Es ergeben sich Kriterien im Anwendungskontext, mit denen die am besten geeignete Methodenklasse bestimmt werden kann.
