Performance Studies of a Computer-Aided Diagnostic System on Mammograms

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Computational Imaging and Vision ((CIVI,volume 13))

Abstract

We have been developing a computer-aided diagnosis system (CAD) for the detection of masses and clustered microcalcifications on digitized mammograms over the past five years. Hundreds of cases were examined by our system, although the dependency of databases has a great influence to estimate the system performance.
