Abstract
CALMA (Computer Assisted Library for MAmmography) is an italian 4-years collaboration among some INFN (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare) departments (Bologna, Pisa, Torino, Trento and Udine) and some medical centers of mammographic screening (Bari, Bologna, Livorno, Trento and Udine). Its purpose is a CAD (Computer Assisted Diagnosis) system for screening mammography based on neural networks and/or expert systems.
