Abstract

This paper proposed and implemented a unified unstructured data storage system under cloud computing environment, that is, USN in short. Under IP Protocol, this system combines iSCSI, NAS, SAN and other network technologies. In this system, users can get access to USN storage resources in management and application by two ways of local I/O and remote access. Meanwhile, USN provides data for the clients through the server channel and network-attached high-speed channel. The architecture proposed in this paper takes full advantage of the existing network infrastructure with features of low cost, openness and file sharing, and also makes full use of iSCSI, NAS and other technologies under IP Protocol, which ensures the system’s high availability and scalability.
