A general definition of stochastic automata

Abstract

A new class of stochastic automata is defined. Its elements, called dependent automata, are characterized by a partition on the set of states such that the transition between the blocks is defined deterministicly. The definitions of isomorphism and equivalence are adapted. Some relations with other classes of stochastic automata and subclasses of dependent automata are defined.

Zusammenfassung

Eine neue Klasse von stochastischen Automaten ist eingeführt worden. Seine Elemente, abhängige Automaten genannt, werden charakterisiert durch eine Klasseneinteilung auf die Menge der Zustände, so daß der Übergang zwischen den Klassen auf deterministische Weise definiert worden ist. Die Definitionen des Isomorphismus und des Aquivalenz wurden angepaßt. Einige Zusammenhänge mit anderen Klassen von stochastischen Automaten und Subklassen der abhängigen Automaten werden studiert.
