Zusammenfassung
Innerhalb einer recht allgemeinen Familie von Auswertungsalgorithmen für Polynome zeichnet sich der auf Clenshaw zurückgehende Algorithmus, welcher auf Entwicklung nach Tschebyscheff-Polynomen 2. Art beruht, durch fast-optimale numerische Stabilität aus.
Abstract
Within quite a general family of evaluation-schemes for polynomials, Clenshaw's algorithm based on the Chebyshevpolynomials of the second kind is of almost maximum numerical stability.
