Dielectric lens analysis using vectorial multimodal gaussian beam expansion

Traitement d’une lentille diélectrique dans le formalisme des faisceaux gaussiens vectoriels et multimodes

Abstract

A dielectric lens is analyzed using vectorial multi-modal Gaussian beams. The basic points are reminded and theoretical tools are developed to treat a complete lens. Results are finally presented which allow discussion about the multiple reflections and the radial truncation effect on the radiation pattern.

Résumé

Après un rappel du formalisme des faisceaux gaus-siens vectoriels et multimodes pour analyser une lentille diélectrique complète, les adaptations permettant de traiter une polarisation incidente quelconque et pren-nant en compte la troncature radiale due à la taille limitée de la lentille sont présentées. A partir de ces résultats de simulation, l’intérêt de modéliser les trajets multiples dans le diélectrique et l’influence de l’iris en zone proche et lointaine sont discutés.
