Abstract

The ENVISAT-1 simulator is a real-time software tool that is designed to ‘look and behave’ exactly as the spacecraft does when viewed by the Operations Control Centre. The software is being developed with the aid of a CASE tool using the Shlaer-Mellor Object-Oriented Methodology and will be implemented in Ada on a DEC Alpha AXP workstation running OpenVMS. The feasibility of automatic Ada code generation from the CASE tool database is being investigated.
