Abstract
This paper reviews recent experience in the development and use of computer assisted teaching software in undergraduate courses in structural engineering. Particular emphasis is given to the use of graphics and some novel applications are illustrated. The nature of the software is generally intended for use in project based studies, initially in the teaching of structural design, and now extended into other areas. Observations on program usage and the benefits of computer assisted learning in this subject area are reported.
