Abstract

The recent emergence of interest in architectures rises the question if architectures really represent the means which will make the design of large and complex systems much easier. For that reason we will try to identify the advantages of using architectures, we will discuss the evolvability of architectures and we will present a methodology which is based primarily on architectural concepts.
