Abstract
The paper describes an HPCN application in the Structural Reliability Engineering field. A software environment has been developed for managing processes in a parallel computing environment both on distributed and shared architectures. To better enhance the performances, a finite element code, that is the computing kernel, has been parallelized applying partly innovative techniques. The whole computational environment is already operative at the end-user (ISMES) site. Some performance results on real case data are given.
