Developing message-passing applications on MPICH under ensemble

Abstract

We present an implementation methodology for message-passing applications, called Ensemble applied to MPI. Applications are implemented by reusable executables having open, scalable interfaces and by scripts specifying process communication graphs, annotated with application execution information. An MPICH procgroup file is generated from scripts and executed my mpirun.
