Abstract
This special issue is devoted to selected papers that were presented at the 16th ACM Symposium on Parallelism in Algorithms and Architectures (SPAA), held in Barcelona, Spain, June 27-30, 2004. These papers represent subjects of classical and emerging interest in the broad area of parallelism, including fault-tolerance, adversarial queueing networks, peer-to-peer networks, graph partitionings, and distributed algorithms.
