Abstract

Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) are in great demand nowadays due to its special characteristics. Such networks are very useful in remote areas and in case of a disaster. Characteristics of MANET like dynamic topology, the absence of centralized governing authority, restricted battery power and information measure result in many problems. Security is one in every one of the main issues in MANET as a result of existing routing protocols for wireless networks don’t offer a secure communication. In this paper, we have proposed a new method based on the hash function that is used in channel aware- adhoc on-demand multipath distance vector protocol. To guarantee the security of MANETs, hash function is used. In addition, Network simulator 2 software is used to simulate this scheme and performance analysis is made.
