Lisandro Zambenedetti Granville is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. He received his M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees, both in Computer Science, from UFRGS in 1998 and 2001, respectively. He is chair of the special interest group on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems of the Brazilian Computer Society, and executive director of the Brazilian Laboratory on Computer Networks. He has served as a TPC member for IFIP/IEEE IM 2005 and IFIP/IEEE DSOM 2005, and is Poster Co-Chair of IEEE/IFIP NOMS 2006. His main areas of interest include policy-based network management, management using/of Web services, network monitoring and configuration, and P2P-based services and applications.

Luciano Paschoal Gaspary is an Associate Professor of the Graduate Program on Applied Computing, at the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos, Brazil. He received his D.Sc. degree in computer science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 2002. His research interests are network management and security. He is a member of the IEEE Communications Society and author of numerous papers related to application-layer protocol monitoring and security management.

Bruno Schulze is a Senior Researcher of the National Lab for Scientific Computing – LNCC and a Researcher of the Brazilian National Research Council, CNPq. He received his D.Sc. in Computer Science from the State University of Campinas, S Paulo, Brazil, and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from de the Federal Univertsity of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently coordinating a Grid Project over an experimental gigabit network supported by the Brazilian NREN and involved in international initiatives on Grids and Networking in Brazil, Latin America and internationally. He has been an invited editor of three special issues of Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience Journal, on Middleware for Grid Computing. He also has been actively involved in several Technical Program Committees, organization and chairing of international (and national) workshops and conferences on Middleware, Grid Computing and Networking. His research interests include Network Management, Distributed Computing, Scalable Computing, Mobile Computing, Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks, and Sensor Grids. He is a member of the ACM, IEEE and Brazilian Computing Society.

José Neuman de Souza is a Researcher and Professor at the Federal University of Ceará, Brazil. He holds a D.Sc. degree at Paris VI (Pierre et Marie Curie) University, France, since 1994. From 1990 to 1994 he was technical member at the European projects PEMMON, ADVANCE and ICM, developing solutions to Telecommunications Network Management. His research interests areas include but are not restricted to network and service management, QoS and high speed networks. He was General Chair of the 11th IEEE/IFIP ICT 2004 and 3rd IEEE/IFIP MMNS 2000 and has been serving in several Techncical Program Committees of international (and national) conferences on Telecommunications and Networking as well as a referee in the International Journal of Computer Communications. He is the editor of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) 3124 and 3126 (Springer Verlag) and the book Managing QoS in Multimedia Networks and Services printed by Kluwer Academic Publishers. He is the Brazilian representative at the IFIP TC6 (Communications Systems).
