Abstract
The introduction of CDWM networks has imposed a new degree of freedom on the optoelectronics devices: temperature. However, for networks with several cascaded filters, even with large bandwidth filters is not sufficient to allocate completely the optical signals.
We have developed an analytical model to estimate the performance of optical networks were the central wavelength of the filters and laser drift as function of the local temperature, resulting in a QoS degradation.
The model is validated recurring to simulated results obtained in a commercial numerical simulator. The obtained results reveal a high accordance between the simulated results and the predicted by the model.
