Abstract
Alternative representations based on order statistics are derived for the probability of error for orthogonal, biorthogonal, and transorthogonal signaling. Short programs in \(\sf R\) are developed for the computation of these representations and to furnish evidence to show that their performance is superior to the traditional Monte Carlo approach.
