Abstract

The proposed work deals with the performance analysis of \(4 \times 4\) and \(8 \times 8\) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless communication system to achieve higher spectral efficiency in Rayleigh and Rician fading distributions. The key channel model used is spatial multiplexing. Singular value decomposition is used to carry out the simulation of \(4\times 4\) and \(8\times 8\) MIMO channel. This scheme also employs the Waterfilling algorithm which allocates the power in all sub-channels improving the Spectral Efficiency. Next generation wireless communication systems require implementations of MIMO to realize higher spectral efficiency.
