Abstract

In today’s world every production unit requires sorting mechanism. Sorting is one of the major tasks in almost all the manufacturing industries. It can be done based on color, shape, dimensions, defective and Non- defective and so on. Robotics plays a vital role in making humans life simpler. If Robots are properly programmed and integrated into the surrounding systems for sorting process, can perform the tasks faster and with fewer errors and hence minimizes the errors than humans. In this paper we have discussed about object sorting mechanism based on 3D parameters using robotic arm. Object detection is done using image processing and accordingly objects are segregated.
