Abstract

The Box Game is a two-player game introduced by Chvátal and Erdös. The Maker and the Breaker, take turns in claiming previously unclaimed elements of given pairwise disjoint sets. At each move, the maker claims p elements and the Breaker claims q elements. The Maker wins if and only if he claims all elements of one of the given sets.

We give a solution to this game.
