Abstract

In this paper, a novel algorithm has been presented for the recognition of English alphabets with a great deal of flexibility. This algorithm can be extended to include a variety of characters including English small letters, special characters, etc. An interesting method for representing these characters has also been presented which helps in the analyses and comparison of this scheme with some popular techniques in vogue.
