Abstract

PASCAL syntax diagrams have been used as a convenient notation for displaying pictorially the context free grammar of a programming language, especially PASCAL. This paper defines a notation which is both more restrictive and easier to read than PASCAL Syntax Diagrams. The restrictions are analogous to the restrictions in structured programming which replace the general goto by several constructs such as the while and the if-then-else.
