Inhibition, selection and enhancement operators for picture processing

Abstract

Enhancement, inhibition and selection operators are obtained. This is followed by a discussion of how they are used and their effect on a picture matrix. Each element of the picture matrix is a gray level representing the gray level over a small area of the picture.
