Abstract

Presently, several videotex field trials are run by PTT's in Europe with the aim to evaluate acceptance of the new service by the public and to improve the service quality before introduction. The following article describes some graphics features of the French videotex system and includes the following sections:

Antiope-Teletel standard: one alphanumeric standard for interactive videotex and broadcasted videotex.

Teletel screen typesetting: from editing terminal to automatic typesetting.

Concrete example: Teletel 3V trial. Users ask for practical and communication services.

A much-needed illustration: Users' reactions about graphics.
