Abstract

This paper presents a CSMA/CD simulator used by a network diagnosis expert system to obtain patterns of each sub-net behavior under various load conditions. The goals are efficiency and flexibility in the definition of network layout and load. Results obtained simulating specific networks are presented for validation and verification purposes.
