Abstract

In a previous paper Hartzband et al. [10] described a partial mode and suggested that analogy, or the determination of similarity among objects, represents one type of comparative inferencing that can be supported by this model. Analogy is not the only comparative technique possible, and this paper describes a second approach called symmetric comparison.
