On the solution of coupled Stokes/Darcy model with Beavers–Joseph interface condition

Abstract

In this paper, we first get the uniqueness result of the possible solution to the steady-state coupled Stokes/Darcy model with Beavers–Joseph interface condition for any physical parameters, especially for any α>0. Then we show the existence of solutions for any α>0 by using Galerkin method. Furthermore, we analyze the error of the corresponding coupled finite element scheme and derive the optimal error estimates.
