Abstract

To investigate the correlation between TCM syndrome element, syndrome distribution and cardiac color ultrasound, 90 patients are divided into five groups according to the syndrome type: syndrome of qi deficiency of heart and lung, deficiency of both qi and yin, syndrome of qi deficiency and blood stagnation, syndrome of water overflowing due to yang deficiency, and syndrome of yang deficiency of heart and kidney, to extract and analyze the distribution of CHF syndrome element. 18 healthy volunteers are enrolled as the normal control group to study the correlation between NYHA cardiac function grading and cardiac color ultrasound. The results show that the distribution of CHF syndrome element is as follows: root deficiency syndrome element in which disease location is dominated by heart (94.4%) and disease natures is dominated by qi deficiency (82.2%), and the superficial sthenia syndrome element dominated by the blood stagnation (70.0%). Conclusion: The CHF pathogenesis is characterized by deficient root and excessive superficiality, disease location is dominated by heart, and the symptom element of disease nature is rooted by qi deficiency and is marked by blood stagnation. Cardiac color ultrasound is an important examination method for CHF, its parameters have significant differences among the syndrome type groups, and it can be used as an important auxiliary means for CHF TCM syndrome differentiation. Different CHF syndrome types are significantly different in the levels, which can be used as important reference index for CHF TCM syndrome differentiation.

Introduction

Heart failure, referred to as HF, means the failure of the heart to fully discharge the venous return from the heart due to cardiac systolic (or) diastolic dysfunction, resulting in blood stasis in the venous system and insufficient blood perfusion in the arterial system, thereby leading to cardiac circulatory disorder syndrome which is characterized by pulmonary congestion and vena cava congestion. Heart failure is not an independent disease, but the end stage of heart disease development. The vast majority of heart failure begins with left heart failure, which is first manifested as pulmonary circulation congestion [1], [2], [3], [4], [5].

Cardiac color ultrasound is the only instrument that dynamically displays structure of heart chamber, heart beat and blood flow, without any damage to the human body. Various structures of the heart will be clearly displayed on the screen as the movement of the heart probe which is like the lens of the camera on the chest back and forth. It mainly used to examine the anomaly in the morphology of the heart and normality in cardiac function, and it is the preferred examination method especially for congenital heart disease. With the increasing phenomenon of aging in China, the incidence of hypertension is increasing year by year today. Most of hypertension patients are often accompanied by changes in functions of important systemic organs such as kidney, brain and heart, and then systemic diseases outbreaks. Therefore, close attention shall also be taken to asthma and shortness of breath in addition to active prevention of myocardial infarction and stroke, so as to prevent emergence of hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy with left heart failure, because the hemodynamic index of such patients will change, and the diagnosis is difficult [6], [7], [8], [9], [10].

Our hospital used cardiac color ultrasound in the diagnosis of patients with hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy and left heart failure, and compared them with the healthy subjects in the relevant indicators [11], [12].

General data

94 patients with hypertensive left ventricular hypertrophy and left heart failure who were admitted to our hospital from December 2013 to December 2014 are selected to be studied. The results of the retrospective analysis on their clinical data show that all patients meet the relevant diagnostic criteria in WHO. They are selected as an observation group, including 22 males and 18 females, aged 36–70 years old, and the disease status are combined as follows with an average of 5.6 ± 5.7 years

Fuzzy spectrum module

Network modularization Q is used to measure the strength of the data heart failure structure in the network and is used as an objective function for maximization with appropriate optimization methods. Q is a scalar value in the range of −1 and 1. A highly modular network means the close relation in the data heart failure and the sparse relationship among data heart failure. Although modularization is limited, especially in the case of small heart failure, it can discover network partitions

Result analysis

1. The relationship between CHF syndrome types and NYHA cardiac function grading are shown in Table 2. The results of χ2 test show that there is significant difference (P<0.05) in cardiac function composition ratio between syndrome of qi deficiency of heart and lung and syndrome of qi deficiency and blood stagnation, between syndrome of yang deficiency of heart and kidney and syndrome of water overflowing due to yang deficiency, between syndrome of qi deficiency and blood stagnation and

Conclusion

The innovation of this research is to use the theory of syndrome element differentiation to study the correlation between CHF TCM syndrome element and cardiac color ultrasound, summarize the relationship between CHF TCM syndrome type and disease development stage of Western medicine, achieve accurate TCM syndrome differentiation with the objective methods, which provide new ideas and methods for the TCM treatment of CHF and its syndrome differentiation and lay a better foundation for

The most popular extension corresponds to the Fuzzy c-means (FCM) that produces a probabilistic partition. It has been applied in many applications [5–8]. Other variants, such as Possibilistic c-means and Rough k-means, use possibilities and rough set theories respectively to handle more precisely uncertainties.
