2014, Information SciencesCitation Excerpt :In previous works [21–24] we detected significant improvements in the performance of metaheuristic assemblers when a greedy seeding strategy was used to create FAP initial solutions. Therefore, PH-PALS is designed to use the greedy technique proposed by Minetti et al. [22] in order to create the respective initial solutions on each core. In this section we describe the problem instances used in the different computational experiments designed for this work, as well as the execution environment.
