Sunita Chandrasekaran, she holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering (2012) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and a B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics (2005) from Anna University, India. Her research interest spans parallel programming model, language extensions for embedded and HPC systems, compiler and runtime components along with Deep Learning. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware, USA in the Dept. of Computer and Information Sciences and holds an adjunct position with University of Houston. She is currently the Director of OpenACC User adoption and an active member of OpenMP, OpenACC and SPEC HPG technical communities. She is a recipient of the 2016 IEEE CS TCHPC Award for Excellence for Early Career Researchers in HPC and also the 2016 SPEC HPG Technical Leadership Award.
Antonio J. Peña, he holds a BS + MS degree in Computer Engineering (2006), and MS and PhD degrees in Advanced Computer Systems (2010, 2013), from Jaume I University of Castellón, Spain. He is currently a Sr. Researcher at Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), Computer Sciences Department. At BSC, Antonio works within the Programming Models group where he is Activity Leader for “Accelerators and Communications for HPC”. Dr. Peña is the Manager of the BSC/UPC NVIDIA GPU Center of Excellence and member of the BSC Outreach Working Group. He is a Juan de la Cierva Fellow and prospective Marie Curie Fellow. Antonio is also Teaching and Research Staff at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain. His research interests in the area of runtime systems and programming models for high performance computing include resource heterogeneity and communications.
