Lithium, an important material in batteries, has shown an upward trend in demand in recent years. The research and development of lithium resources is of increasing importance because of the richness of lithium resources in Salt Lake brines. With breakthroughs in key technologies, research on lithium in salt lakes is increasing. Based on the research papers on Salt Lake Lithium in the Web of science core dataset, this paper finds that the number of Salt Lake Lithium relevant papers shows an increasing trend in recent year. We further identify the main experts and leading research institutions in the field of Salt Lake lithium research, and the results show that the Chinese academy of science has the leading position in Salt Lake lithium research. Besides, the keyword cooccurrence network indicate that lithium extraction and separation are mainstream research topics.
