Abstract:
In this paper the chaos synchronization problem is addressed. For a class of master-slave chaotic synchronization systems with unknown uncertainties caused by both model variations and external disturbances, a neural network (NN)-based control scheme is proposed. To apply our method, we first need the transformation of the synchronization system in an error variable form by using the backstepping technique. On this model, a suitable control scheme is applied that includes a radial basis function (RBF) NN-controller that approximates the unknown model variations. As it is proven in the paper and verified by simulation results, the proposed controller achieves synchronization in the face of unknown uncertainties since it ensures stability and disturbance attenuation
