Abstract:
Positive systems play an important role in many fields including biology, chemistry, and economics, among others. This paper discusses the stability and control of discrete-time positive Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) fuzzy systems. It provides a sufficient condition for their exponential stability, as well as a sufficient condition for their instability. It also presents a new approach to their controller design. We present two examples to demonstrate our results. In the first example we develop a positive TSK fuzzy Volterra predator-prey model and investigate its stability. The second example demonstrates our controller design methodology.
