Abstract:

While data-driven simulation can solve the problem of determining the nominal model and estimating the response after controller tuning in the conventional data-driven control methods, it has the problems of large computational cost and inapplicability to the nonlinearities such as input saturation, which is a practical problem. This paper presents some examples of applying the convolution-based data-driven simulation method, a method proposed by the authors that can solve this problem, to a two-inertia actuator system. The results of simulations and experiments on actual equipment showed that the output estimation results are highly accurate and have potential for use in various applications, such as controller design.
