Abstract:

In this paper, we propose a modified nonlinear SQRT chirp function based ultra wideband (UWB) pulse to suppress the narrowband interference (NBI). With the proposed chirp pulse design, the UWB systems can utilize the good characteristics of SQRT function and achieve the requirement of NBI suppression. Furthermore, we employ the sqrt chirp UWB pulse into the offset-stacking (OS) spreading modulation based orthogonal complementary code (OCC) UWB system to realize the flexible data rate and further alleviate the multiple access interference (MAI) and multipath interference (MI). Theoretical and simulation results validate the efficiency of the proposed scheme in the suppression of NBI, MAI and MI.
