Abstract:
The “ADVW board” is part of a vibrating wire sensor measuring node, used in hydrotechnical structures monitoring sensor networks. The board is the analog to digital front-end for the vibrating wire sensor node called “VW-HydroMote”. The board functions are the measurement of the resonant frequency of vibrating wire sensors, in the 400…1200Hz range, using the maintained oscillation method and the pluck-read method for the partially deteriorated sensors and measurement of the electrical resistance of the vibrating wire sensor coil in the 50…150ohm range. The measurement results are transferred to the sensor network node and from here to the hydrotechnical structures monitoring software.
