Abstract:

The present paper describes an algorithm to identify nonlinear systems using stable local modeling networks. Based on the LOLIMOT [1] algorithm, a method is presented, which ensures the structural optimization of the local model networks with the aim of assuring asymptotically stable behavior of all linear local models. Based on the local stability, a concept is presented to prove the global stability of the model. In many model-based and control-engineering applications, asymptotic stability is the sine qua non for the use these models. The methodology is verified by a nonlinear observer of the high pressure of a refrigerant circuit in a heat pump.
