Abstract:

Some circuit techniques aim to reduce preamplifier's input-referred noise are proposed. Low input-referred noise amplifier is one of the most important elements to accomplish high precision comparators. Nowadays, the design of the comparator introduces a big challenge for the implementation of high resolution SAR ADCs. By using the proposed techniques, the input-referred noise can have a 31.25% reduction compared with conventional amplifier but without any decrease in gain and bandwidth.
