Abstract:

In this paper, we proposed a dual-source energy cooperative harvesting (DCH) circuit with a single-inductor. Compared with single pile energy harvesting (SPH) circuit, the DCH circuit enables extraction of power from both a photovoltaic (PV) cell under indoor faint light and two thermoelectric generators (TEG) in one inductor charge and discharge cycle. The DCH operation mode also increases the conversion efficiency of PV energy harvexpesting with introducing thermoelectric energy. According to the simulation results, it can increase up to 27%, and the energy conversion rate of the two TEGs is 58% on average.
