Abstract:
The problem of front vehicle detection and tracking during the night, unlike during the day, is that the environment provides little visible information with which to use. However, because it is important task which can help drivers at night, we propose a novel algorithm to detect and track by the location of tail lights. Our algorithm calculates the intensity of the diffused tail lights, then uses this information to find and track the location of the vehicle. Experiments were performed using videos taken at night, and the results show that our algorithm has excellent performance.
