Abstract:

In the article, a combination by two all-optical XOR/XNOR logic gates using photonic crystal for binary-phase-shift-keyed (BPSK) signals and a photonic crystal all-optical AND logic gate for intensity modulation signals is proposed. The novel AND and NOR logic gates for BPSK signals are realized. Finite-difference-time-domain (FDTD) scheme is applied. The numerical results indicate that contrast specific value of logic 1 and logic 0 logic-levels is more than 21dB for AND operation and 19dB for NOR operation over the C-band (1530-1565nm).
