Abstract:

This paper proposes a new plant/controller design integration framework that seeks the best pair of the plant and the controller for the best possible closed-loop performance in Hscr2 control. The framework is further equipped with a symbolic-numeric hybrid optimization approach to effectively achieve the optimum. In the suggested approach, a recent algebraic tool called the Sum of Roots is firstly employed to characterize the optimal cost in the presence of plant parameters, and then numerical optimization over the admissible parameter range is executed to find the best parameter values.
