Abstract:
In this paper, the controller synthesis problem for fault tolerant control systems (FTCS) with stochastic stability and H2performance is studied. The system faults of random nature are modeled by a Markov chain. Because the real system fault modes are not directly accessible in the context of FTCS, the controller is reconfigured based on the output of a Fault Detection and Identification (FDI) process, which is modeled by another Markov Chain. Then the state feedback control is developed for such systems to achieve the Mean Exponential Stability (MES) and the H2performance for both continuoustime and discrete-time systems. Furthermore, different types of model uncertainties are also considered in the design.
