Abstract:

This paper studies the problem of semi-global stabilization of linear systems subject to output saturation. An event-triggered scheme is designed to reduce unnecessary control updates. It is established that a single input single output linear system can be semi-globally stabilized by event-triggered linear output feedback as long as the system is stabilizable and detectable with all its invariant zeros in the closed left-half plane. Furthermore, the legitimacy of the proposed event-triggered scheme is established by excluding the Zeno behavior. Simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed event-triggered output feedback laws.
